The Fishery Site

Theale Fisheries own site comprises of two mature lakes, The Island Lake Day Tickey Fishery and the Theale 1 Syndicate Lake, extending to almost 23 acres of water, set in 49 acres of secluded surroundings by the banks of the River Kennet in Berkshire. Most of the remaining land is mixed broadleaf woodland in various stages of development. Additionally we manage the fishing on the Theale 2 Syndicate Lake, an adjacent mature gravel pit of around 29 acres, which is the second syndicate on the complex.

Situated just to the South of Theale, 10 miles from Reading, we are only 2 miles from Junction 12 of the M4 and the national motorway network, and approximately half a mile from Theale Station, so have excellent transport links. There is a car park area immediately inside the main gate and just a short walk from the day ticket fishery.

Security is important to us so access is restricted to members, day ticket holders and authorised visitors only. All gates must be closed and locked immediately after entry or exit and the code numbers are regularly changed.

Island Lake is the one to the left of the marker, the Fishery entrance is on the left between the entrance to Burghfield Sailing Club (on the right) and the top of the map; if you switch the image to satellite you can clearly see the entrance and car park area.
